ProcessMaker v. 2.8.0 (Release date: December 16th, 2014)

ProcessMaker is a cost effective and easy to use open source business process management (BPM) or workflow software application. Workflow software such as ProcessMaker can assist organizations of any size with designing, automating and deploying business processes or workflows of various kinds.

ProcessMaker workflow software features an extensive toolbox which provides the ability to easily create digital forms and map out fully functioning workflows. The software is completely web based and accessed via any web browser, making it simple to manage and coordinate workflows throughout an entire organization - including user groups and departments. ProcessMaker workflow software can also interact with other applications and systems such as ERP, business intelligence, CRM and document management.

This page describes the new features, improvements and bug fixes included in Process Maker v 2.8.0.

Known Issues

  • When installing ProcessMaker the error message is displayed: “Table 'root.OAUTH_CLIENTS' doesn't exist”. When the screen is refreshed, ProcessMaker can be used without any problem. This problem will be validated and the error won’t be displayed.
  • The PHP mcrypt extension is REQUIRED (it must be enabled).
  • A notice is displayed when restoring an old backup which had the Enterprise Plugin enabled. It appears just once. After refreshing the web browser screen, it won’t be displayed. The workspace restore works without any problems.
  • The login session is lost when entering any option in History Case inside the Case Tracker. (This issue will be fixed in the next version)
  • In some Windows installations, Web Entries are not generated correctly. Instead of creating 3 files, only 2 files are created. This issue will be solved in further versions.

Recommendations

  • If upgrading from version 2.5.2 to 2.8, there will be three database for each workspace. To unify these 3 database into just one database for better performance, see this page.
